Coup in Central Africa

For those who don't know yet, Sunday the current governement of Central Africa was taken over by rebel General Bozize. He immediately canceled the constitution and dissolved the national assembly and the government. Former President is in Cameroun now.
The US asked France Monday to help evacuate the US citizens still in the country. France immediately dispatched troups to control the airport in the capital and help all foreigners to evacuate.

paxx, it's only 'news' if CNN decide it will pull in ratings ..... and there's a coup in the 'Africas' every other day.

Yes, indeed. But I posted it for two things:
1- there is now one more tyran as a World leader.
2- I wanted to show that France and the US are still allies in the World in general, although they don't share the same opinion on one specific topic.

I always get this feeling that all they have in Africa is tribal warfare. Only these days they don't use spears (well... not primarily), but machine guns and such.

It's never going to get anywhere without some stability.

That said though, Africa is big and some nations are quite stable and developing. It's just that the bad news tends to stick.
