I may misunderstand something about dreams, but, I was expecting to be able to browse in a much easier fashion. It seems like the primary mode of searching is intended to be:
Set the top search bar filter to "dreamscapes"
Type in words and hope that the dreamscape has those words in the title itself
This misses a lot of potential wallpapers and dreams when the title is something unintuitive like "Dragons Ire" and it has a Dragon attacking a knight. And you were looking for a wallpaper with a knight in it. Is there the possibility of adding a tag system like http://stackoverflow.com/or linkedin where metadata tags are associated with each wallpaper/dream? That way artists or users could label the contents more appropriately and "fuzzily"?
I was expecting to see more categories to filter from. I only see about 7 including "abstract", which covers a huge amount of things. I think this is a limitation brought about by the lack of an in depth categorization/tagging system above. But it certainly doesn't filter it down well and leaves you wondering what else is around? I can only sort by 3 methods and "less popular" and "older" ones are buried deep no matter how many results per page I select.
I ask all these things as a new purchaser of Object Desktop (primarily for Deskscapes and Fences) and was quickly dissapointed with my ability to find via a smooth process.
I'm looking for general comments about a better method of searching, or notes that I've overlooked a good method for drilling down, or comments from the site creators about "features coming
". Please anyone....tell me there's a better way..
