OK, I have a problem, and I know it's with Windows 10, not specifically with Start 10. However, Start 10 is not working properly either.

My start menu stopped working a couple of days ago. The Metro apps I have pinned to my taskbar don't have icons, althoug I cna still launch them. I checked on the web and tried several things to fix this, including the DISM thing, the powershell thing, etc. I also downloaded the .Net verifier and it says there isn't a problem with .Net. I ran scf/ scannow from the command line.

I even re-ran the Windows 10 upgrade program and reinstalled Windows 10. Still no Start Menu. OK, it may be related to my profile, and I haven't created a new profile for myself yet.

In any case, I purchased the Start10 upgrde and installed it. It work fine in Windows 7 style mode, and in Modern mode, but Start10 just doesn't work in Windows 10 mode, just like the Windows 10 Start Menu doesn't work without Start 10.

So, any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Do I really have to create a new user account / profile?
