GA, I'll add some of the stuff I've learned to help. If I screw up, please correct me

Making a hollow Object

You can make a hollow object by taking a smaller negative object and putting it anyway you like inside the positive object. You can find the settings in the Attributes of each object.

Sorry Bryce haters but I got an email yesterday and someone wanted to know the follwoing. So all you young Brycers who aren't sure of a few of the following enjoy everyone else who already knew......Good on you = O

1.If you mean grouping objects....all you need to do is have all the objects you want to group highlighted then click on the 'G' icon and they will now be grouped. If you mean grouping objects with a Boolean operation then it takes a little more work:

2.If you want one object to take away from another>The object which will be taken away from has to have a positive Boolean attribute which you can change by pressing the 'A' icon and clicking on the positive option.....The object which will take away has to have a negative Boolean attribute which is in it's respective attribute menu by clicking it's 'A' icon

**Note If you apply a texture to the negative object then group it that texture will transfer to the area the positive object was in contact with the negative one.....you get pretty neat things with that.

3.If you want to intersect an object to another>Have one object positive and another set to intersect by using the same menus as those above. The object set to intersect will only be visible in the areas which it is in contact with the positive object. So lets say you have a cylinder and a cone together and the cone is overlapping areas of the cylinder, once the cone is set to intersect and grouped with the positive cylinder, any area of the cone that was going beyond the cylinder will disappear and the only thing visible will be what is in contact with the cylinder.

4. A cool one people don't know about all that much which if you are into the abstract stuff really can make some awesome stuff, it's called union. This is done by grouping two positive objects together. It's sorta hard to explain but the best way to see is to quickly create two spheres and have them overlap a bit. Now make them both positive and then group them. Now place the camera so that you are inside this grouped object. You'll probably have to add a light to see in here but basically the two objects even though they are overlapping are being shown as one. If you don't understand simply change one object to neutral and then group again, you'll see that it's just two objects overlapping each other.....big difference I would say.

Some quick keystrokes that you can use instead of having to go into all these menus to apply attributes

To go into the attribute menu CTRL+ALT+E
To assign a positive attribute= P
To assign a negative attribute= N
To assign an intersect attribute= I
To group objects= CTRL+G
To clear an object attribute and have it go back to neutrald

G_A, as a Bryce user my self. I have pretty much learn by curiosity and clicking on every button I see.
There are some things I was not aware or knew how to do, but your tips have help me much.

I'm as busy as I can get and as much as I would love to have my own site and even one where I can help others I'm afraid I'm at a point in my life where I barely have time to make anything right now (whoa that barely made any sense )

I much prefer a quick email asking me something and I replying. I think those that have done that have no complaints thus far in my help that I've given them. Since I never got help and was always asking people who would rarely or never reply with any help I make sure I help others cuz I've been there (still am )
