How do I uninstall one of the apps (downloaded from the store)?

Hello,

I looked for help, but couldn't find it on the website or by pressing F1. I did find a 33 second or so YouTube video, but it provided zero help.

I would like to uninstall and/or use apps I downloaded from the store. Specifically, I had some EPUB file types and downloaded two apps from the Windows store. NEITHER of them ran well and I ended up using a real program.

SIDE NOTE: I find many (most?) of the store apps are almost worthless. An example is the VLC app. I installed it from the store and it didn't work like the 64 bit "real" application. It wouldn't even play MP4 files or the DVD the 64 bit one plays. This was before getting Start 10 and I knew how to access and/or uninstall. Now, I have stuff I'd like to use and other I'd like to remove.

I noticed the Control Panel doesn't give one a way to remove these apps and IMHO Microsoft should have one place to go to uninstall stuff, but that isn't the issue here.

Right now, I need to know:

Where to find help on how to use Start 10 completely.
How to access and/or uninstall the Windows Store apps, please.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, either I'm unable to make hide nor hair of what you mean or we have some difference.

When I click on the Start 10 button, I get a list of applications, but they are real application and none of the Windows Store apps.

When I go to the "Universal Applications ->" menu entry on the start menu, I find a list of what MAY BE the Windows Store apps, BUT when I right click on them there is NO UNINSTALL entry in the pop up menu. The pop up menu contains stuff for files, such as copy, cut, delete, send to, etc.

Again thank you for your reply, but I'm not following at this point.

When you open Start10, in the upper area should be a link "Windows 10 Menu". Click it, the regular Win10 Startmenu should open. In there you can uninstall the UAs. But only the ones, that not came with Windows 10...

Upper area: I see Windows 7 Style (the one I use); Modern Style; Windows 10 Style.

Are you saying to choose Windows 10 Style? If so, is that the ONLY way to uninstall these (thus far crap) applets? Sigh, shouldn't we be able to do it from the Windows 7 Style, too? After all it isn't a perfect Windows 7 duplicate so the addition of applet uninstall wouldn't be off / bad -- in fact it would be a good thing.

So, is what I think you're saying correct or did I go off the rails?

Open Start10 means open the startmenu from Start10, from there you can open the official Windos 10 startmenu...

Oh, and where in WIn7 you could directly uninstall software from the startmenu? Did i miss something?

I think we're not understanding each other. When I'm talking about Windows 7, I'm talking about the "Start 10" product's Window 7 interface (not the Windows 7 OS).

When I press on the start button on my system, I see what looks like a good/great copy of the Windows 7 start menu. I don't see where on this representation of Windows 7 to find the "official Windows 10 start menu." From what I can tell I can't go back to it WITHOUT uninstalling Object Desktop, itself.

I wish there was a Start 10 help file.

You're having Windows 10, right? And you have installed Start 10, right?

So, if you click your startbutton, and the startmenu, modified by Start 10, opens, you should have a shortcut in the upper left corner (where the pinned programs are) that says "Windows 10 Menu" (no matter which menustyle you have chosen in Start 10). Click it and Windows 10's own startmenu opens. There you can uninstall the universal apps installed via the store.

I wasn't talking about Windows 7 either.

(maybe it's because english is not my native language)

Thanks!! I also most missed it, as it was at the bottom of the pinned program list. Also for anyone who by mistakes unpins it . . . or wants the Windows 10 menu to pop up from inside a program. The important line is:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start10\Start10.exe" Metro
