Yeah, I'm building myself quite a collection of Blurays now. A while back I got the boxed set of Stargate Atlantis seasons 1 - 5 for AUD$59.95.... was going out cheap in a clearance special. I also got the 5 seasons of Fringe for $62; Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for $19.95; Seasons 1 - 4 of Falling Skies for $45.95 and seasons 1 - 3 0f Orphan Black for $39.95.
I've pretty much seen all of it over the years, except perhaps for an episode here or there, but they're shows I'd like to revisit, and the Foxtel box simply doesn't cater for that much stored viewing.
I'd not looked into my Bluray player too much before, but my sister recently bought herself one and reignited my interest as we spoke about the features, etc. Anyway, mine is now connected to the home network to steam content throughout the house; is connected to the internet for browsing, etc; and I can stream Netflix should I so desire... not to mention viewing 3D and hooking up external HDDs to view home videos, photos and listen to music.
Shoot, all that stuff sitting there for yonks, and all I did was play Bluray/DVD discs... like this thing is the complete media centre and I never thought to use it as such before now.
