Hi Everyone,
I, like many others, have a visual disability which makes it hard for me to read text on the screen unless it is high contrast. I have been after a good high contrast skin/theme for a long time and through all my searching I have yet to come across one.
I know windows has high contrast settings but if you've ever tried them you'll understand why they are unusable, their implementation and integration is simply terrible. The high contrast theme looks absolutely hideous, it does not work properly with many parts of windows and breaks many programs and websites making them completely illegible.
Would anyone be interested in making a good skin to make the PC a better placae for people with visual impairments? I would be glad to work with you and give you feedback on what works and what doesn't.
What I'm after is a sleek and modern skin which maintains your dignity (unlike that hideous microsoft high contrast scheme) and makes your computer a pleasure to use and look at.
Criteria are sharp white text on black or dark grey backgrounds, largers easy to see and easy to click buttons (but not huge or anything, some of the windowblind default skins have nice buttons). The font should be clear and easy to read, nothing narrow or with very tight spacing, a smooth round font with good spacing is ideal.
If someone would be willing to take this challange on it would do a lot of good for a lot of people.
