Mostly I hide from IMs. When I used to use MSN, all the various people on it used it like a spybot. "Why didn't you come to chat, I saw you sign on" or "This person isn't either sick and in the hospital, I saw him sign on to IM! (It turned out that his friend was checking the mail, but for awhile a whole group of them were quite irate >
