How did you download? Through ODM or from the store? Don't waste your time with ODM.  If you used it, uninstall what you have, run CCleaner, reboot for good measure and grab 8.1 from https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products and reinstall.

Uninstall, reboot and reinstall WindowBlinds and see if that helps.

Also what graphics card do you have?

We have tested with Firefox and it works as shown by other users posting here.

We are aware of an issue with Firefox developer edition and one user has suggested IETab may be causing a problem.  Are you using either of those?

I have a new build of Win 8.1 and FF and Object Desktop with Windows Blinds 8.1.

Applying a skin causes the tabs in FF to become unreadable... to be more accurate, the background behind the title bar and inactive tabs is so transparent that it is difficult to read any dark lettering on the tabs.  I know that WB 8.1 was supposed to resolve FF issues, but is this an issue that was supposed to be resolved or is it a new issue?  Bouncing between different stock WB themes shows the same issue with all of them.

Hi Neil,

Closing and restarting FF did not resolve the problem, nor did uninstalling and reinstalling Window Blinds resolve the problem.

However, I unloaded Window Blinds from the system tray, then restarted the computer.  On restart, Window Blinds was re-loaded and now I'm not seeing the issue.  After the system restart is all seems to be looking OK, however, I haven't tried switching themes yet either.

Same old Fire Fox crash on start up running Windows 8.1 64bit, Fire Fox 37 BETA and latest WB version. About the only 'significant' difference is, even after unloading WB, Fire Fox will still crash on start up until I reboot the system. Oh well....

this is a bummer had a problem with WindowBlinds where after boot up go into a folder and could not read any text until moused over it then became readable could not find away to correct this hit the uninstall and as on 10 get an error as not on 8 when try putting  windowblinds back, so hope it wont be long before you have it so I can. Not going to mess around now as off again Thursday until next Tuesday

At time of writing the original reply Firefox 37 was the beta of firefox and 36 was the release.  It seems as usual they have sneaked out another update.

I will make sure our update is out as soon as possible.

G750jx + window blinds 8.1 + vmware workstation 11.1 + full CPU load + memory usage over 19 GB = instant reboot.

I'd agree normally Neil, and it's likely the graphics drivers. Removing Windowblinds keeps it from happening. The reboot is instantaneous, no blue screen, no memory.dmp. It didn't start until the most recent release though. I've also run a full memory diagnostic to rule that out. I'm just putting this out here in case others run into it. Like I said, my money is on a Nvidia driver incompatibility of some kind.

okay, Definitely not windowblinds, I've been adding applications from Object Desktop one at a time over the last few weeks. I've narrowed it down to shadowfx. If shadowfx is installed and I start using VMware WS 11.1 heavily. My PC will reboot. I know it doesn't make sense, but I am staying stable now with shadowfx uninstalled.

edit- shoot, not shadowfx either. Still need to narrow down more. definitely went a week with all OD items uninstalled, and no incident.
