
For me, this is really sad. I'd tune in every weekend to hear the boys from Boston talk cars, humor, "the puzzla", etc.
They were so funny. Tom had Alzheimer's disease...and sadly, it took him. At it's high point, 4 million would tune in...and it was NPR's most popular entertainment program for years...on 600 stations.
In a statement posted on Car Talk's website, Ray Magliozzi affectionately teased his late brother, who was 12 years his senior: "Turns out he wasn't kidding ... He really couldn't remember last week's puzzler."
He will be missed. RIP, Tom.
