It does reside in the DesktopX install directory, Tom. It is a Stardock file. But I don't know what role it plays. I wouldn't want to hook the guy up if it has to do with activations, etc.
Again, a reinstall of DesktopX should renew the file.
I have it in my DX folders on both my rigs.
