Jack Ryan - Shadow Recruit.  I warn you that while it is "based upon a Tom Clancy Character" the story is too one dimensional.  I give it 2 stars out of 5.

When at my sisters, we rented "Non-Stop with Liam Neeson" .  It was like reading a so so book. It doesn't get good until the middle. And it gave a feeling like it was filmed inside a studio ( which it probably was, but one shouldn't notice that). 


Also watched * How to train your dragon*...  It was a good movie, the best part being *Toothless* the dragon!

Saw X Men, Godzilla and Edge of Tomorrow. Good stuff. Looking forward to Interstellar, Guardians of the Galaxy and the Hobbit later this year.

I'm looking forward to Maleficent when it comes to Foxtel... should be a cracker [great].

I've not watched any movies of late because I have been catching up on various TV shows that I can't always view when Foxtel airs them.  That's the beauty of the Foxtel service/topbox, I can record TV and movies for later/more convenient viewing.

Saw it this Monday too. Would not say absolutely fantastic, but certainly very good. I guess i liked it even more than Oblivion. And i loved the comedy aspect - could not stop laughing at the rolling under the truck scene. That was hilarious.

I saw X-men: Days of Future's Past. I read somewhere that Patric Stewart and Ian McKellan were supposed to be in the climax to do some "last hurrah" like Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman in Unforgiven, but was cut out. That would have been cool.

I've been reading about how they are good friends in real life. A true bromance.

We rented Jack Ryan - shadow Recruit this past weekend.  We liked it, although I probably wouldn't have spent more than the $1 renting it.

Patrick Stewart is a true gentleman and one of the most genuine people you could ever hope to meet.  Not only does he support services for returned servicemen with post traumatic stress disorder, he is an active spokesperson against domestic violence against women.  He is one actor I admire very much, and not just for his onscreen work, but also his charity works and down-to-earth personality.

Rented Robocop and Lone Survivor this weekend.  I'm not that big a fan of remakes so Robocop really didn't impress me that much.

Lone Survivor was an intense movie.  Definitely something I recommend watching.

First time i have seen it, my english brother in law wanted me to watch it with him, as it is apparently his favourite movie. And i have to say, it was truly hilarious indeed.

And then Blue Ruin - it was weird, but pretty good.

The last thing I saw was about a 'family' of werewolves trying to live among humans without killing.  Not sure what it was called now, but I believe the TV series Bitten was based on it.

I'm wanting to see Lucy with Scarlett Johanssen and Morgan Freeman sometime soon.  Thing is, I have other priorities and it might be a while 'til that happens, but from what I've seen of it in previews it'll be well worth waiting for.
