The new forum search is much better than the Google one as I extensively tested many search scenarios. The key is using the menus
I have tried that on several occasions but could never get the thing pointed in the right direction, it still failed to narrow things down enough. Instead, I found it easier and faster to wade through my 91 pages of replies to find links or info I needed to use again. All I need to remember is an approximate date. As long as I can get to those one way or another, I'm happy there.
That works for the past. On to the future:
(*flashback to 2008* enter Stardock software nOOb, yours truly. The forum search was my best friend.) I don't boot into 8 enough to keep up with things there. That makes me of little help to newer users and being helpful is what I try focus on here at WC. (It sure isn't my artistic ability) Anything I need to know about Windows 8 only software and/or features, I'll need to search for, just as I did for Vista/7 if I want to keep collecting those karma points.
Bottom line: A good search engine makes me look smarter.
BTW,put me down for another subscription, you guys work hard for it.
