Disabling autohide on tabbed docks

My problem is that I can't disable autohide on tabbed docks. I want them to stay open at all times; no collapsing. The only way I've been able to disable autohide is by using 'reserve edge', which I don't like at all. Essentially, I want tabbed docks to be behave the exact same way as quicklaunch docks using the "keep on bottom" option.

I recently found out that(for me) tabbed docks are extremely useful, but I find it completely unnecessary to have them always collapsed. I want them always open when I'm sitting at the desktop, and I want them to hide at the bottom of windows, being able to be brought to the top by hovering at the edge of the screen.

If anyone has a workaround or an option I'm missing that would be great! If not, I just have to hope that a dev or someone sees this that will consider implementing this at some point.

Usually you right click on the dock and open settings. Go to where it says view and uncheck autohide. That will keep it from collapsing.

Yeah, you'd think it'd be that easy. Unfortunately, no such option exists for tabbed docks. The only place it says autohide anywhere in the settings is in the drop down menu when I click on "Reserve edge of screen" under the Position section. It stays grayed out unless I first enable Reserve edge, so it's not the option I'm looking for.

Edit: Yeah, Uvah, I see that right-clicking on a "Quick-launch" dock will give me the option to check/uncheck autohide. That option isn't available for "Tabbed" docks though...this seems like something that would be very easy to implement.

I see what you mean. I thought the tabbed docks would be the same. Anyway...try this. Right click on the tabbed dock, go to settings and in the drop down enable floating. See if that helps. You can position it anywhere you want without collapsing it. Hope this helps.

This only partly works. If you float it to close to the top or bottom or will still auto-hide. Will not work at all on the left or right side.

I did what you showed and also configured a hotspot so I can pop it up from behind windows. The only other problem I have, which isn't that big of a deal, is that it's impossible for me to change tabs while there's a window behind the dock(using the hotspot); attempting to hover over a tab will instantly bring the window back on top of the dock. That shouldn't be a problem for me though, but thought I should let you guys know.
