I have a dock setup to show all running tasks, and added the clock and calendar docklets to the end. After the docklets I added shortcuts to Outlook and Excel. It's a vertical arrangement on the right side of my second monitor. 

When I try to add a separator it does not matter which icon on the dock is selected, the separator is always added to the end of the dock, and I can not move it. In fact, after further testing, it seems I can move any of the icons on that dock, I can move icons on other docks, just not this one dock.

Is there a reason for this? I know there may be better setups, but this thing with separators is bothering me.
