Did anyone find else something wrong with the big-e caught in earths gravity when it was damn near in lunar orbit?! Shouldn't it have crashed on the Moon instead?! LOL With no power it made dead stop trip from the moon to the earth in 5 minutes.
Actually, no. In any 3 body system (Earth, Moon, and Enterprise), where the only force involved is gravity, there are five points known as Lagrange Points, where the smaller body (the Enterprise, in this case), can orbit in equilibrium because the gravitational forces from the other two cancel each other out. The first point, L1, is in between the two larger objects. In the case of the Earth and Moon, the L1 point is about 321,000 km from the Earth: http://esamultimedia.esa.int/docs/edu/HerschelPlanck/EN_13e_L_Points_EarthMoonSystem.pdf The distance from the Earth to the Moon is about 384,000 km.
According to the internet, Sulu says the Enterprise came out of warp 237,000 km from Earth. I have no way of verifying if that is the number he says, but assuming it is, the Enterprise is well inside the L1 point, so it will fall toward the Earth. It still falls too quickly, but it would've taken days for it to reach Earth if it started from a dead stop, which would have been exceptionally boring to watch.
