How do I make it so the dock will center itself on a part of the screen like a quick dock?
Right click on the tabbed and click on where it says position. Go to the bottom and click on floating. This will allow you to move the dock anywhere on the screen. As for automatically centering itself not that I know of unless that feature is in 2.1. I have 2.0 and the closest is floating then positioning it yourself. Wherever you place it that's Where it'll be when you boot up again.
I'm aware of the repositioning, I'd just like to have the dock center on it's own, especially when I resize the borders. Does anyone know what the coordinates would be for the top center of the screen at 1920x1080?
