One 'possible' idea would be to approve this specific 'old' skin...and see if people out there can install it as expected...and post comments as to success on the skin.
I'm reluctant to do that though as it's not mine [there'd be no issue with something of mine being used/abused as a guinea pig].
Some people might just get all 'negative' about the process and take it out on the skinner...
