I have installed the Fences 2.01 trial version, and I can confirm that the Fences menu items show up in the desktop context menu when I right click on my desktop. The 'Configure Fences' choice is present, and under the 'View' sub-menu, there is an option to 'Lock Fences'. However, I never got the initial dialogue about configuring Fences, and whenever I click the 'Configure Fences' selection in the context menu, the cursor icon spins for a second, then nothing. No window, nothing.
In what I suspect is a related issue, I have also installed my purchased version of Object Dock 2 with my license key. When I try to get into the config menus for that application, I get similar issues. I found a forum thread under the Object Dock section here, which seems to potentially be relevant, as it describes the behavior I'm seeing in Object Dock:

That post suggested that the problem might be with the .NET config. I followed the instructions from Zubaz there and downloaded the dotnet.exe app from the link he provided, and installed the 4.0 .NET framework. My .NET installed versions look exactly like the recommendation in that thread, except that I also have the 1.1 framework installed. There was no change after installing the 4.0 framework.
I've tried to uninstall Fences and Object Dock and re-install, running the installers as admin, but I get the same behavior in both applications. The icon indicates that it's working for a second, and then nothing. No config dialogues.
I'm running this on a brand new Win7 (x64) Enterprise SP1 install. I can submit a support ticket for my OD2 install, but wanted to post this here for the Fences issue as a way of attacking the issue from multiple fronts. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
