Hi
I appear to be unable to rename files and folder within a portal folder fence. (I can rename stuff in normal fences.) There is no crash or anything, I open the context menu, click rename, and nothing happens.
Furthermore the inability to navigate subfolders in a folder portal fence is a bit of an inconvenience. Most of the folders that would be important enough to warrant their own fence have their contents organized into subfolders. I am thinking about a homework folder (categorized by course), code workspace (by language/project), photos (by occasion/event/subject), downloads folder, sync folders, etc. The root of these folders is often of limited interest. Opening a subfolder through a folder portal fence doesn't seem to offer any advantages over the alternatives, one could just as easily put a couple of links to these folders in an ordinary fence or pin the folders of interest to the task bar. One of advantages of a portal fence to me seems to be that one doesn't need to open a windows explorer window, but at the moment you probably still have to.
Though I have to say, as one who abhors a cluttered desktop, fences seem pretty nifty.
EDIT:
Also is there any way to automatically hide all empty fences? I preemptively created a documents fence with corresponding automatically applied sorting rules (for when I inevitably dump some documents on my desktop) and I would like for it to disappear until needed.
