Weblinds, Window Blinds ... how can I get them NOT to be used in Internet Explorer?

I have found very few of the Window Blinds or Weblinds give me the transparent background I desire on InternetExplorer. I want to be able to keep the Hotbars (picture skins for the IE). Almost all the blinds I have tried (10-12) have colored windows around the buttons. Any ideas? I am getting desperate!!! I like the blinds alot ... but I also like Hotbars alot. I may have to make a choice. Sure would hate to do that. Hope someone has some help for me.

In Windowblinds' per app exclusions settings you can disable skinning some items in an app. Perhaps if you tried different settings you could achieve what you want? I haven't played with it much myself so I can't say for sure this will work, but it's worth looking at.

Hi Just Jane!

This is a little off your topic and won't answer your question. But I thought I would mention it (it is bugging me if I don't).

I used hotbars until I discovered that it is a spyware. They are gathering data from you all the time and this can even slow down your system response time. At least that is the way I understand it.

This may be irrevelant information but I just thought I should mention it.

Have to ditto GoodMorphing's comment. Hotbars gives you "convenience" and a little glitz, in exchange for them monitoring your browsing habits. Not worth the loss of privacy.
The Per App setting should eliminate WB effects for IE. If you want to skin the title bar in IE, I'd recommend Xqet Setup (http://www.xteq.com/products/xset/). It's the grandaddy of all tweaking programs. Scroll down to Internet Explorer and you can skin-in any texture or graphic you want into IE. And it's free...and free of spyware.

Correction: It'll skin the TOOLBAR, not the title bar. But it also has a feature where you can change the name in the title bar to whatever you want.

I appreciate your comments. Personally I have never been paranoid about my browsing habits (privacy). Guess I have been very lucky, because I get so little junk mail (about 5%). I truly enjoy the beautify picture I can have on the top toolbar area. I have found that by disabling the "toolbar" in windowblinds it takes care of my problem. I did check out the Xquet Setup, but could not see where it would do the same thing as I want. I have also tried one of the IE programs for skinning and it brings back the colored bars and hides the graphics (pictues) I want. Anyway ... currently things are just fine in this area.
As far as slowing the system down, I really have great speed for ISP (56K). I tried uninstalling HBars to check the speed and saw no difference. Maybe someone will come up with a similar program without the "spyware" sometime soon. I will hope ...

The first time I used that adaware program I found 147 different instances of spyware. I cleaned them all out and everything still worked. My computer did run better.
The one that slows it down the most is that gator... it comes in still somehow. I have learned to know when it is present by the feel of my computer and I go on a gator hunt with adaware and zap it.

If you have a program you like... go for it! I am glad you found the way to exclude it.

Thanks again! I too previously used gator until I got Robo Form. Its a great program to keep up with so many passwords, etc. I also use the adaware and still find alot. I have just put hotbars on the "ignore list". I may take your adavise and try without hotbars for awhile. I have a P-4 (1.7) desktop that runs great and doesn't seem to have any problems with hotbars; however, I also have a P-III (1.0) laptop that is so very much slower. I believe I will give it a try. Thanks for the advise.

some skins cant be used, and Chinese word is bigger then ABC
