for Mac&PC?? mmmmm Corel has released a Lite version of Coreldraw Photopaint 8, free for the Mac Users, but has no success on Mac community.
The past year i purchased the 10 upgrade version for Windows. I have also the Select (7) version, so i have no problem to upgrade (insert the previous version disc, one minute and go).
Corel Draw is not a bad program. In my opinion have:
The pros: Good effects in vectors, low price, tree programs in one (vector, bitmap and web animation including Flash contents!) plus addons (bitmap to vectors conversion, enhanced textures creation, Fonts management!, bar-codes generation!).
The negative part: Is too many different in their usage, comparated with others design programs. Why can't have a interactive 'Hand Tool'? the Macromedia's and Adobe's programs have it! Isn't intuitive: if you are habituated to Freehand, you will learn fastly to use Illustrator and reciprocal; if you are habituated to use Painter, you can easy learn to use Photoshop; where are the tools on Corel Draw?. The color management on Corel (10) are very hideous. It spends more computer resources than Photoshop or Freehand (on Windows). It's slowly. It crashes when are using lots of objects or layers. In two months of use, i needed to reinstall-it 3 times (it was corrupted >

).
But, when the 11 version are available, i will check it. Not purchase, but i can check
