Some IconPackages are not downloading correctly...for me

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem so I wanted to make a post and see if support might be able to help.

I'm download IconPackges on to a new computer that is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.  I have run across a problem with some packages that auto load into Icon Packager and with only one skinner's icons so far, mrSkope.  I am using IE 9.  I have two screenshots, the first shows the Slider Icons as being in Icon Packager.  I have applied the package with no problem as shown buy a Fence in the lower right hand corner.  I was also able to right click on the icons in the Zoomer Dock in the upper left hand corner and edit the icons to reflect Slider.

 

This screenshot shows the problem that I am having, notice that the Icon Packager show the Icons and I have applied them, if I then attempt to change the Icons on the Zoomer Bar and navigate to the Icon folder you see it shows nothing. 

I've download several Icon Packages, some will auto load and some don't.  I only seem to have a problem, as I stated above, with those of mrSkope.  Before my other computer died, about two weeks ago, I had not seen this problem and in fact had all of mrSkope's Icons downloaded and using them with no problem. 

I hope someone can come up with an answer.  One suggestion so far was to us a different browser but that really doesn't solved the problem.

Philly, I hate to tell ya, but I think this is a known problem. I hope it's being worked on.

I hope it is, it is just strange though that I have only run into now with making the Theme Manager Suites and using different Icon Packagers with each one.

Okay, a question for all you smart folks.  Since I'm having this problem with Icons does anyone know of a way that after I download one of mrSkope's packages how I can copy them over to the ObjectDock Library and be able to apply them on the docks?

Someone must know.

Change the extension to .zip, extract them to the OD Library and apply. Alternately, if the package is installed, just copy the icons folder from Public Documents and paste into the library.

If saving the downloaded package with IE9 is an issue, download FF portable or Chrome portable (no install needed) and dl with one of those to a location of your choice, then extract the icons.

Well it sounded easy enough to just copy the Icon folder over to Object Dock Library, folder was empty.

Okay, I can't figure this out, I surrender. 

Would of though a Stardock person would have seen this by now.

the icons are stored in an ICL resource library. 

at least the file selector of ObjectDock doesn't support those. you should file a bug report or a feature request for that if the application is still under development.

you might be able to add them by editing the OD config files in a text editor if:

- OD does have editable config files and

- OD supports multiple files from a library (you can try this by applying an icon from an EXE, winamp.exe stores multiple icons for example, if there is no choice of icons, you're out of luck)

Wizard using Firefox did let me save it to the download folder instead of auto loading into IconPackager.  I still could not extract it into Object Dock Library.  I guess I must not understand how to do this.

Rename the file extension of the file you downloaded to .zip

Extract the file.

You will end up with the folder full of icons to put in the OD library.

To install that into IconPackager, open the IP UI, select Add Icon Package. From the dropdown menu select Install from disk. Browse to the folder you just extracted and find the  .iconpackage icon(the little box with the I on it.) select it and then select Open.

This only seems to work now with some Icon Packages. Some packages do not create a folder with the icons in it. I don't know when it changed. I suggest starting a trouble ticket with support.

Looks like that may be the best approach Wizard, doesn't look like the Stardock folks have seen this thread.
