Calendar

What I want is a calendar that sits on the desktop. I would like to be able to use it as a family schedule.
I would also like it to list items in the calendar, not just give the days with an item a differant color. I thought a maybe a DesktopX might be able to do it or just an active desktop item.

I looked on c-net and didn't feel like going through all 100+ calendar programs.

One I would love is one that actually takes data from and to Microsoft Outlook. Now that would be awsome. I use Outlook for my scheduling but would love to have my appoitments show up on a calendar on my desktop.
Been waiting forever for someone to program something like that. Can't believe nobody's done it yet. I would actually pay for something like that.

paxx, is that the litestep one you turned me on to? there's a couple tricks to getting it to run on its own in windows, but it's great.

Rainlendar is good, but doesn't do what Griffin wants: "I would also like it to list items in the calendar, not just give the days with an item a differant color".

Works good enough for me though.

crae: Rainlendar can list the items. you just have to set it up that way: http://gamma.nic.fi/~rainy/Rainlendar/Rainlendar-Large.jpg
it can also import data from Outlook with a third party app.
