Hi all
Feline: My Win2k Autoexec.bat and config.sys file are 0 length files.
The changes I made to my path were restored immediately by Loki, god of mischief.
The current status of my quicklaunch buttons is, for lack of a better way of communicating death, a complete lack of doing anything useful at all.
I have reset the quicklaunch buttons using wbconfig.exe and all is well there.
I tried to register smart.dll thinking that it had lost its way and became embarassed. I got the following:
---------------------------
RegSvr32
---------------------------
smart.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of smart.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
PView does not exist on my computer
If you know where a virginal version of smart.dll may be residing, I could replace the cynical version which may have decided that I was trying to be too smart for my own good, and is now being arrogantly evasive.
