Ars Technica has written a great article on Window 8.  Despite their positive review, I think I will drag my feet on making the change.  I have a Windows 7 phone but that does not mean I want the same type of interface on my desktop PC.  So far, Windows 8 seems to work well for casual users - searching the Internet and reading mail but not particularly suited for productivity.  What works on a tablet does not always work on a desktop PC.  I did note that there are "several" apps being developed to add the Start Menu back which may may a difference in my perception so perhaps in time I will change my mind.

For now, I guess I will be like a lot of the XP huggers and hang onto my beloved Windows 7 awhile - maybe a long while.   Looking forward to hearing other people's views.
