Yep... and RIP poor Uvah's thread...
Yup even though I got it first 'cause Web followed me all the way to the newsroom to swipe the report.
Sorry Uvah! I even checked to make sure no one else put it up and didn't see one. New post are forever getting pushed back by old pointless ones. Ah well.
A very sad day..a part of my childhood is gone forever. [e digicons]:'([/e]
RIP Davy
Davy Jones. Really. That's so sad. My condolences to his family.
Sad news. RIP, Davy.
The 'duplicate' with the most responses is always the one to 'stay' ...
RIP, Mister Jones.
Leaves only Dolenz & Tork. Nesmith did some great stuff after the Monkees. The Eagles used his version of Seven Bridges Road - the harmonies are almost identical.
Wasn't aware of that Paul...but I didn't even see another post about this or I wouldn't have made this one.
David Bowie had to change his name to Bowie because there was already a Jones. RIP Monkee man.
Boy, I had a crush on him when that show first came out. I still can remember many of those songs - which is saying something if you knew how well I remember things. When was that? Late 60s? Naw, I think it was early 70s
i was never really a fan of The Monkees. After i saw their movie Head, it changed my opinion of them. They were not some bubble gum TV rock band, they indeed had some talent.
