Zubaz, could you please point out where on the product page it says or even implies that after your 1 year subscription to UPDATES and ObjectDesktop.net that you are unable to install the software again? The product page would seem to imply that the only time limit is if you wish to get updates. If that is not the case, I didn't buy applications, I bought a subscription - which is not indicated on the product page. As a result, I would like to know whom to contact for a refund.

I'm sorry that it wasn't clear to you . . .but it's not unclear.

This is what I see...and the way I read it, the product is available for 1 year (updates included)...

So... I purchase the applications, don't renew the subscription to the updates, switch to a new computer and attempt to re-install everything, but I'm SOL because I didn't subscribe to the updates?

I was under the impression I was buying, not leasing, the applications - so I did not download the installers.

I understand your concern but it's no different then any other software you would purchase at a store or through a download. I have all the .exe programs that come with ObjectDesktop and the serial numbers. If my membership ran out and I got a new computer, reformatted, etc I could install the prograsms I have without having any subscription. Now lets say you get a new computer with a different OS. Without having updated software it may or maynot work correctly and that goes for the software you may have purchased at a store or downloaded. They will not give you the updates without additional money. You state that it was just a little over a year that you purchased OD. The .exe programs and serial numbers have been available everyday for download. Anytime you have downloaded software from the internet that doesn't come on a disc you should always have it backed up no matter where you purchased it from. Here is an example. You purchase Photoshop from a store for $700.00 in a box with a disc. You lose the disc and reformat, buy a new computer. You will not be able to go to Adobe and download it without paying another $700.00. Know this doesn't help you right now but if it's something you have never done I would do it with anything you purchase. The real name of the game is save and BACKUP.

I believe you can renew now for $24.95 or close to that. In my opinion that is a real bargain and if you do that and never want to renew again you can save the program.exe files and have them forever. Now that you understand the situation go ahead and renew and you will get the latest programs to have forever.

No, there are no options, at all, of any kind, to renew the subscription. Not on the product page, not on any page in my account. The only place any record of my purchase of those applications exists is in the "Order History". That too lacks any link or option to renew.
