Hello everyone,
first of all I'd like to say that Fences is one of the greatest apps I've been using these past years and yet one of the simplest improvement to Windows, just the way (-at least, one way) an ergonomic OS should be. I think I'm not the first nor the last person to like it and that's not the reason I'm posting here. So, the point is I think there could be a few more improvements you could bring to Fences and I'd like to share them with you.
Personally I really like to have a minimalistic appearance, and the bunch of icons (even cropped thanks to Fences) are too many useless visual disturbings. The idea is to show icons only if the cursor hover the desktop, instead of double-clicking on it everytime I need my icons back or hidden. I think it should be easy to make since the hiding function exists (manually) and that you can already detect when the cursor hovers a fence the desktop (and hide/show the scrollbar)
Another thing, and I think it'll be judicious while Windows 8 is coming, why not let users choose if their fences were rounded squares or angular squares. Remember that the next interface will be Metro, and that it will be way more angular than Aero is. For example, just have a look on windows' edges on the actual preview of Windows 8, it's not rounded anymore and in my own analysis it won't be in any case (note that I'm a chief graphic designer up in France, and -hem- I don't know how you'd call my job in english)
So, thanks for reading and I hope you've found interest in my request; and yet sorry if I'm misspelling something I just don't use to speak english
