Are there any tweaks to speed up OD 2.0?

I have ObjectDock 2.0 installed on my Compaq C762NR laptop with 3GB RAM and Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. Windows was running extremely fast and the startup was quick. After installing OD 2.1, it takes about 30-45 seconds to boot up.

My question is: Are there any suggested tweaks or ideas to shorten the load time for current users or known by staff?

You could always boot up and then load OD 2.1.

I wish my system booted in 30 - 45 seconds....jeez. 

 

I can hit the power button on my rig, go take a leak, get a drink from the kitchen, and maybe even go out to get the paper in the time it takes to boot my machine. Seriously.

What do you have on your docks?  How many docks do you have?  Are you replacing the taskbar?

SSD.  Greatest upgrade you could give to a computer.

Take a look at https://www.soluto.com/ so see what's really taking a long time.  OD needs to hook into things to work but 30-40 seconds seems a bit high.

30 - 40 seconds.... !     I wish!!!

My tabbed dock takes about 2½ mins to load....   

 

I can only think that it's sitting there validating every link & path, & going & getting every program icon before it shows itself.

What it's doing for the other 130 seconds I have no idea  

16 tabs with an average of 9 links on each tab - That's not exactly huge is it?

 

I know it's the tabbed dock that's holding things up. The taskbar dock loads in a couple of seconds, and about ½ a second after the tabbed dock drags its ass into gear the system tray dock appears.

 

30 - 40 seconds....   sheesh...

This, or perhaps an external hard drive that might not always be plugged in?
