Stardock has, for years, has maintained an IRC server. IRC is the granddaddy of modern chat systems. It's old . . but it works and we use it. You can too.
There are many IRC clients out there.
The easiest might be mibbit.com because it has a web-based client (http://cbe002.chat.mibbit.com/). You could use mIRC or Pidgin or Trillian or any number of others too. Heck, even my HP Touchpad running WebOS has a client ()
Once you pick your IRC client it's time to join the fun! Here's what you'll do:
- Find where the client asks for the server and enter the following
/server irc.stardock.com
- Once connected to the server (when all the text stops scrolling), you join the WinCustomize chat room by typing this:
/join #WinCustomize
There's an older (but still accurate) article on the WinCustomize wiki about usign IRC. You can read it here: http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wiki/MIRC:_Chatting_on_Stardock_IRC
See you around!
