When Bethesda Softworks released the requirements for Skyrim, I realized that I would need a new system. After considerable research I purchased an MSi GT780DXR laptop with an Intel i7-2630QM, NVIDIA GTX570M, 16GB RAM, 1.5TB of Raid-0 HDD and a R/W Blu-Ray disk with Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) SP1.

I would love to see 64 bit versions of games such as Skyrim, but game software companies will understandably want to maximize their profits. As such they will target the greatest source of sales which is unfortunately the archaic XBox360 and PS3 game platforms while cutting edge PC hardware capabilities are under utilized.

If FSX was aware I'd devote the whole of my 12 gig of ram to see it almost run well....

I use this rig for work and serious gaming. I've got a GTX 560 Ti and am running Skyrim and BF3 on highest settings in game.

64-Bit aware is a HUGE consideration for me as it allows for more complicated AI in the game as well as additional RAM utilization.

I do game, but not often enough to be considered a serious computer gamer. Consoles are another matter.

And most 32-bit games run just fine on my setup so that's not a huge issue.

Not yet, but plan to upgrade in the next 6 months, sooner if FE seems slow on my current rig.  (waiting for Ivy Bridge, full range of AMD 7000-series gpus, and for HP prices to go back to normal).

Absolutely more likely to buy a game if it is 64-bit capable.
