what concerns me is how he'd lost his helmet.
Many years ago (in Melbourne ~before I moved up here), I lost a good friend who crashed his Harley on the way home from a day out on an organized ride with the H.O.G.
Without going into too much gory detail, his helmet impacted the roadside kerbing so hard that it tore the strap away at the stitching where it attaches inside the helmet, and it flew off much like it did for Marco.
Just taking a guess here, but I'd say the impact of Valentino's front wheel was the culprit. Looking at a slo-mo of the video, I can only see one (long) loose end of strap flapping from the helmet.
I'm also hoping this doesn't have a career-ending affect on Valentino. He's an amazing talent, and too nice a guy to throw in the towel.
