Nothing major by any means, but I just noticed the page title for the forums mentions nothing but "XP skins, XP themes, XP this and that blah blah." Might need to be updated to say 7 instead.
I understand why XP support has to go, yet the stock of older blinds is huge compared to what's been updated. I have W7, but I'm also running an XP PC for that reason.
With 60% of users on W7 it time to swing that axe on XP.
It's better to ditch the past and move forward.
how about just changing it to "Windows" this and that. be a little more all encompassing.

Not sure where you got your 60% Fuzzy, but as of August 2011 Windows XP still had 35% of the market share and Windows 7 at 31%. Vista was a whopping 12%!
With this site showing Windows XP even higher: http://marketshare.hitslink.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?qprid=10&qpcustomd=0
I think thats 60% of the site members are using W7.
Are those statistics available for viewing by members WOM?
From Winstep stats for the last 30 days, Windows 7 is 66.39%, XP is 28.80% and Vista is 4.45%.
Well, if WC is at 60% and Winstep is at 66% for Windows 7 that is really good for your respective sites, I was just stating what I found on the market shares which don't reflect the same. But I understand we would all need to go with our sites statistics for business purposes.

I was just checking some stats on WinCustomize, and noticed that Windows 7 makes up about 60% of the traffic WC receives each month! A year ago, XP was still beating Win7.
here
That still leaves 40% .. huge number.
Disregard.
It's all a conspiracy I tell ya! Microsoft made it so you should buy it!
Personally I don't really care, as all Winstep software is (still) compatible with Windows 2000... and Win9x support was only dropped a couple of years ago (much to the chagrin of the *four* Win9x users who visited the Winstep web site in the last 30 days, I'm sure).
Darn it, Jorge....I have Win 3.11 ........
Still uses that on his Commodore 64.
Hmmm, 12% are using Vista
Given the intelligent top 2% are in Mensa, I figured the bottom 2% would be Vista users - guess I underestimated the power of stupidity.
So much for the bell curve...
Snowman is happy being stupid
I'm not downgrading to neither XP nor Win7 anytime soon.
Poor Jafo, I'm so sorry...
... for you.
Although my main system has Win7 Ultimate x64 in it, I also have a laptop and another PC system who both have Vista installed, and I ain't changing that.
Vista got a bad reputation because it broke so many things, but the differences between Vista and 7 are mainly 'skin deep'. If you like 7, you like Vista too. 7 was embraced mainly because by the time it came out most developers had already upgraded their applications to work properly in Vista, so users who jumped straight to it from XP never felt the pain. Unfortunately, it seems that it became a fashion thing to shoot Vista down.
Personally I used it every day since it's release and until the release of Windows 7, and I liked it. Now, the part of changing Winstep applications to work properly with it, that part did make me pull my hair out. [e digicons]:')[/e]
Oh boy.... The Win7 fan-gang will demand your head on a plate for that remark.
Well if we're offering up heads XP doesn't bother me a bit
XP was a great version of Windows. However, you can't stay on nostalgia land indefinitely, or you'll miss out on great things.
For one, Vista and 7 with Aero are much more pleasing to the eye 'as is' than previous Windows versions, which is the major reason why WindowBlinds popularity is (unfortunately) not what it once was. Vista and 7 also offer some great stuff which you simply can't do in XP (live window previews, etc...) but, of course, some things have changed in relation to it, so one has to adapt and that is not always easy (WebGizmos can vouch for that, eheh).
On the other hand, eventually you get used to the new way of doing things... Now, Windows 8 Metro interface, I'm not so sure about. lol
It's all about money Jorge - I'd rather give it to you, $20-$30 at a time
Gimme, gimme...!
Err... Seriously now, thanks, and sorry, I forgot about the (lack of) money part. I feel a bit bad now.
No need, it's all good I just figure that Billy Gates gets his fair share...
Enough of your senseless drivel Jorge, GET BUSY ON THAT SKINNING TOOL!!!
