Icons vanish from within a fence

Hi,

Since posting my previous post I have looked back through the forum and have noticed others with the same issue. This seems to be only an issue with Windows 7 and shortcuts to items that are on network drives. This is a major issue and it would be good if stardock could confirm that they can replicate the problem and find a fix. I would love to deploy the professional version at my company as it would make life for my users so much better but untill they can sort out this issue I can't deploy it. It is very strange that it only seems to happen under Windows 7 but not XP or Vista.

TreasureIsland, 'bumping' a post is usually sufficient. creating a second, identical post only causes confusion...

That having been said, I wish I could help you. I have Fences Pro. I think that if you take a snap shot using the option in Fences (after arranging your icons) you'll be able to return more quickly to your desired baseline.

There also should be a way to "save settings"... which I just don't remember for the free Fences.

The snapshots are stored under:

Vista/7: C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups
