Fence outside of Desktop

I have a fence that is outside of the desktop (when I look in Fences on the Fences tab I see a fence that is brown (not green) and is shown outside of the desktop).  How did the fence get outside of the desktop?  Also, how can I get the fence back on the desktop?

At the top of the Fences tab, you can choose a different layout and it will move all the available fences where you can get at them.

After you apply, you can drag them where you want.

 

Did you have more than one monitor when you set up the fence?

 

And can you post a screenshot before you change the layout.

Choosing a different layout so that I could get at all of the fences worked.  Thanks a bunch!!
