It was all fine before the crash. After the BSOD I had to disable Windows Update to get the computer to restart properly. However, my applications have suffered.

Now Google Chrome doesn't fully integrate the Windowblinds theme in my browser even though it did before the crash. The title bars in Chrome dialogs are the most noticeable change.

Also, in MS Office 2010 applications the same thing has occurred. Even though before everything was working, now the title bars are not using the theme.

Also, Explorer is not changing its background to the background of my choosing and the taskbar icon takes 22 seconds to load Explorer.
