I have a confession.
I come from a long, dynastic line of piñata testers, stretching all the way back to King Charles II of Spain. My great great uncle, Xavier Carlos de Montelleña de la Smedley, was famous for his ability to test two piñatas at once, with a stick in each hand. And for a brief time in the late 1880's, he was appointed Court Executioner. Those were ugly times.
As you can see, I take great familial pride in my ability to beat things with sticks until the brightly colored insides pop out.
