Hello to All,
I have two suggestions of utilities that I have been unable to find anywhere on the Internet. Thanks in advance for those who will decide to tackle these two challenges.
----First utility.
In Windows 7 (Home Premium 64-bit).
1) The best solution would be to allow the option of changing the way the “Show desktop” button currently works under Windows 7.
--Under Windows 7, a simple move of the cursor over the “Show desktop” button at the rightest side of the taskbar and you see the desktop without windows but unfortunately you still with the desktop icons and the desktop gadgets! Pressing this “Show desktop” button allow you to see all the windows gone for good except the desktop icons and the desktop gadgets. Pressing it again, and they reappear; it is a toggle button.
--Goal: I would like to have the function of this “Show desktop” modified in such a way that it does exactly the same but it adds the fact that the the desktop icons and the desktop gadgets also disappear in addition to the windows.
--There would be a first option where I would either choose to select this new way of functioning for the Show desktop button. But there would also be a second option that would allow me to revert to the way the “Show desktop” button worked originally.
--Finally, there should be a very easy way to uninstall this utility fully without problems if I would like to revert back for good to the original function of my “Show desktop” button.
--Why do I want this new function for the “Show desktop” button. I have many wallpapers that change every 5 min. Sometimes, I would like to very quickly check a wallpaper that reminds me of a particular memory but by doing so very quickly and very easily the way I have described above.
2) Second solution that could be possible and maybe easier to implement.
--Goal of this utility: I would like to view very quickly my current wallpaper from time to time, as it changes frequently, without seeing the desktop icons and without seeing the desktop gadgets that I have.
--I already know how to do that slowly (right-click the desktop, View, uncheck both “Show desktop icons” and “Show desktop gadgets”) but I would like a toggle keyboard shortcut that would allow me to do that very quickly.
--I heard that it is already available in Apple OSX with the dashboard keyboard shortcut doing exactly that. But not in Windows 7 unfortunately.
--Therefore, a toggle shortcut would allow me to quickly view the desktop fully and without any windows opened, without seeing the desktop icons, and without seeing the desktop gadgets.
----Second utility.
In Windows 7 (Home Premium 64-bit).
When I right-click on the desktop, there is already the option “Next desktop background” that is available.
I would like to have an extra option called “Previous desktop background” that I would find, when I right-click the desktop, just below the option “Next desktop background” that is already present.
Thanks in advance for the wizards who will tackle these two challenges.
Regards
Michael
