Forbidden Planet was a favorite of mine back in the day. Remember not too long ago her co-star Leslie Nielsen passed away.

Awwwwww, I always admired her. Rest in peace Anne Francis.
How sad. RIP....

that is so sad RIP
Bummer. She was a good actress. I also see the ZsaZsa Gabor is facing amputation. It seems that a lot of the people I grew up watching on TV are passing lately.
I hear you RedneckDude. So true.
"Time marches on."
And flies. Or not.
It is very sad. When I first saw Forbidden Planet I was first taken by the Spaceship. Then Robby the Robot then Anne Francis. What I remember most about the movie was the cook and his Kentucky whiskey. Don't remember his name but I think he played that Ewing character on the nighttime soap opera Dallas. Richard Anderson also played in that movie along with Leslie Nielsen. Does anyone remember the doctor's name or the actor who played Anne Francis' father?
It shows how old we are when we remember Forbidden Planet. I enjoyed it a lot as a kid.
Warren Stevens was the doctor; Walter Pidgeon was the father. Here's a link to the IMDb web page for the movie.
