In speaking of "people" I'm using a term of generalization... As with any such usage, there ARE exceptions as you yourself prove. Humans as living beings desire some form of structure, hence the acts of becomming civilized. The desire for rules to abide by take away the fears of having to make decisions on ones own part.

As Crae says.... Sheep

The act of saying, we don't want freeform skinning of WinAmp is similar to the sheep saying, don't leave the gates open farmer, for it is too much freedom for us to handle.

hey, i just D/Led WinAMP3 and i found it not much slower to load and run than WinAMP2.76 (at least on my machine [pIII-533 256meg of RAM running Win2K]) i hope once it gets into beta stages and up to finalization point, it will get faster and better than WinAMP2, and will still be able to use your WinAMP2 skins anyway!

When I started WinAmp3 it took more than ten minutes to start on my poor old p75...

and why, pray tell, do you still have a p75? i thought those were all scraped for the metal in them to make newer proccessors? ... j/k.
