shortcuts:xpmode, snipping tool.. etc

any advice how to create windows xp mode shortcut in objectdock under windows 7 (64bit) will be highly appreciated.

dtto snipping tool, vmwindow.exe.....

I have snipping tool shortcut in folder - f.e. c:\dock\service and the shortcut to this folder as folder in a menu in objectdock plus (1.9 ,2.0 both latest releases tested).

This shortcut works fine from windows explorer, but not from Objectdock plus.

I think, that Objectdock have similar problem as Total Commander

dtto, when I made shotcuts to a Windows XP mode applications (which worked fine from explorer) and others...

Stardock plus(64????? bit??) docklets have problems on 64bit systems. How to solve simillar issues? Thank you for any advice.

another sample of this BUG:

I have a working shortcut in objectdock to:

C:\Users\jiri.cvrk\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Windows Virtual PC\Aplikace prostředí Windows XP Mode

When I choose a option:

Show folder in a menu

It works not.

I think it is quite simple to understand, what is wrong. Can we please hope that this BUG (64bit) will be repaired soon?

There is post some wheres on the forum here that says for 64 bit items you need to put the full location to the shortcut in the link section and then in the start in box put the folder location it is in

Try This

ex. Windows Registry Editor

Link Box = C:\Windows\System32\regedit.exe

Start In Box = C:\Windows\System32\

The problem is that anything launched from ObjectDock is 32-bit. When you are referencing a 64-bit application, it doesn't work due to how WoW64 works.

64bit Outlook is starting straight from objectdock shortcut without poblem.

Another 64 bit applications started from objectdock showing folder as a menu not.

I use this method for all 64bit programs and it works

Link Box = C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Start In Box = C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\

you could try to establish some folder, then copy f.e.

Virtual Windows XP.lnk (and edit it to suite your recommendations) in it.

Snipping Tool.lnk (and edit it to suite your recommendations) in it.

Make shortcut to this folder in objectdock. This shortcut to the folder and its 64bit program will work.

But when you use "Show folder in a menu" objectdock option on 64bit windows7 , some shortucts in such folder stops working.
