Are there any setting anywhere that might alleviate the problem of occasional temporary freezing. Not all skins do it, but some (about half of them) will. I am working just fine in a window, but then I switch windows, and everything freezes for up to 30 seconds. The window I was working in becomes pale and the task bar will disappear... leaving a task bar button and the tasktray behind that are non-functional as well. After 10-30 seconds, everything clears up and we are set to go. This never happened with Vista and it is happenning on 2 different machines... a home built desktop and a Dell Studio XPS 13. Both of these machines have SSD drives. Now I also noticed this problem on my new Alienware M11Xr2 with the built in theme, but it does not have a SSD and never had Vista on it. I removed the great looking alien theme it came with, and put on the latest WB product. The only skin I installed was Venom... I think that is what it's called. (red and black). No issues with it since. I did all of this before I installed anything else on that computer. Stardock stuff is usually second installed on fresh computers right after antivirus.
I wonder if it is a cache or video setting or something, but I don't fully understand the inner workings of how WB works. First I thought it was CursorFX, but that doesn't make a difference if it is installed or not. Suppose I could remove WB and test it, but I sure do like what WB does. Are all skins coded equally? Perhaps the skins that use larger graphics are more memory intensive and need some adjustments that I am not aware of?
Thanks for any help.
