Help, my cursorXP animations wander!

Hi all,

I am currently trying to assemble my first set of cursors for CursorXP. My problem is that I seem to have a hard time assembling the (transparent) png's together on a single file for the animations.

How do you space the (transparent!!) png's correctly so that the cursor doesn't shimmy all over the place during animations?

I have been trying to use the screen callipers, but that didn't help either. Is there a trick how it can be done easily and exactly, or is there a program out there which facilitates this process?

What graphics program are you using? If it's PSP, I can offer a couple of tips.

Well, sorry but I don't know much about Photoshop. Paint Sho Pro has Grids, and Guides, that really help me keep thing lined up. PS may have the same thing or similar, but I'm not going to be much help with that.

PS does have grids, not sure about Photoshop Essentials though.

If not, and you can create multiple layers in your program, you can use a workaround by making your own grid by drawing horizontal/vertical lines on one layer to align the objects in your other layers.

I had the same problem when I made OD poofs...so I made the bottom layer with an outline of pixels of a color that had nothing to do with the image(so I could easily select it and remove it later).Then as I added each frame I could see when the 2 outlines touched.Then in the finished strip,just select that color and delete.

The best way to compile images for a cursorxp animation is to use aniutil.
