How do you convert an Icon Package into separate invidual .png's

Does anyone know how you would take an Icon Package and unload it so that you have all the individual icons? I would actually like .png files instead of individual .ico files but I think I can convert them with Icon Sushi. The purpose is to be able to use the .png files with Objectdock to match the Icon Packager theme.

There's really no need to convert the icons to png, ObjectDock will use ico files. One method you could use to make them available in OD, is to use IconPackager Explorer. Open the package you wish to use, your icon(s), and go to File > Export, and send them to your OD folder.

True, however doesn't the KkMenu demand .png files?

Don't know much about Kkmenu, next to nothing actually

. If you need to convert them, then the easiest method would probably be to use IconDeveloper. ID can open IP packs, and convert them to png. :)

Didn't know that DarkMist. IconDeveloper can't open IconPacks, if IconPackager isn't installed? Because of the new encryption, I suppose.

So IconDeveloper can export icons as png's??? Great, I will take a look only because Object dock is know to run smoother with png's

I tried peeping at a few icons the other day and got told I needed icon packager installed, I assume its the same for everyone

Don't forget that Object Dock will perform faster and use less resouurces if you use ICO's and not PNG's. Try to keep the PNG's to a minimum. It can make a big difference.

Really? Cool, I didnt know that! I thought it was the other way around. That may just be because OD has never given me any performance issues, even with 26 png shortcuts on it.

Yes, I believe the reason is that PNG's need to be rendered, while ICO's are native of Windows.
