Missing Files On Desktop

Windows XP Pro

My Fences problem is: Text files saved to the desktop are missing from my desktop while using Fences. Any solution?

1 am having the same issue with the latest version of Fences. Running Windows 7 32 bit and i keep losing icons and files from my desktop. I like Fences but if it doesn't then it's no good to me. Antone find a solution??

This is a serious problem. One of the design goals of Fences is that no icons will be lost. Can you please tell me the steps you use to reproduce the issue?

Can you please send me a screen shot of your desktop?

If possible could you record a video of this happening with JING?

Late comer here wondering if either of you ever found a solution or isolated the cause?

I lost several folders the same way this week and have been unable to locate any of the files. Had to send the drive to a data recovery service and am hoping they can help. An expensive problem. No more Fences for me.

You already sent off the drive? Fences never ever deletes files. So the folders must still be present. If you click on Start, Computer, then Desktop, do the folders appear in the list?
