BootSkin is a program that lets you safely change your Windows boot screen. The way it works is that it actually installs a boot screen device driver that loads when you boot up Windows.
Version 1.05 works for most people. But over the months we've found that some drivers interfere with BootSkin and those people experience weird problems with BootSkin. For those people, we have made available previous versions of BootSkin which worked on some of those computers (but not others -- there doesn't seem to be a 100% solution so far).
For those of you who have tried BootSkin 1.05 and ran into problems, please visit the BootSkin site and try out 1.02 or 1.03 and let us know below whether it solved your problem. If you can also tell us your hardware configuration, we can then see if there is something they have in common.
BootSkin 1.05 works on all of Stardock's internal compatibility lab machines (of which there are a LOT of machines) along with our external beta network. So the only way those people who can't get 1.05 to work is to work with us and help us find a solution. Thanks!
