Hi, all.
I'm having a bit of trouble installing CursorFX and SkinStudio 7. When I run either installer, they give me the error "Could not access network location '\ Stardock \ CursorFX \ Themes'". I've never had either of them installed, because they don't install.
Here's some details on my computer and such:
- Windows XP SP3
- My computer's Local Disk is the I: drive, not C:.
- I've read the other posts on this, and the majority of them say "Go to '\ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Documents \ Stardock \ CursorFX \ Themes' and create the folders" or whatever. I've gone to that location and saw no Documents folder. When I tried to create it, it didn't work because it said there was already a Documents folder in that location, but I have all "hide folders" options turned off. There is absolutely NO Documents folder in there, but I still can't create a folder called "Documents".
- There is a "Shared Documents" folder, could Windows be thinking that's it?
- I've even had to reinstall Windows once, due to hard drive errors, but a new Windows install didn't help.
I've also Googled this problem multiple times, and have come up with the same answer in every article I viewed.
Is there a way to install the free versions of these two pieces of software from Impulse?
Thanks ahead of time for your help.
