I have an ASUS 1005HA netbook with windows 7 starter, and have found a way to change the wallpaper from the default it comes with. I thought I'd also like to install fences, which serves quite well on my desktop. When I enabled it, however, it dropped the default wallpaper over the custom wallpaper I had managed to get windows to display - when you show the desktop it actually shows that one first, then the default wall with the fences and icons. Why is this happening? Can it be changed? For now, I have disabled fences, but I can see the time coming when I will want to re-enable it. In this case, I really want to have my cake and eat it too...
