Here's what Visual Pinball 7 will have to offer!
Xp/Skining Support (will work on older Os's if have a skinning program).
New Icons and Graphics (thanks to Stein for some of the icons).
Dim Lights/Bumpers (optional via video options). When turning lights on, it goes from off, dim and on to give a nicer looking effect (and the reverse when turning light off).
Definable Off Light colour.
New Object: Gas Segment Display Driver. Includes 36 different scroll, wipe and fade effects, boardom mode with 8 effects and 4 different segment styles. run-time Redefinable character shapes.
Coloured Slingshots (same colour as side wall).
Library Editor (separate program). Put graphics/sounds in a separate file.. Make common resource files (ie bumper caps, ball images).
Library Editor support in VP (direct import or linking to external resources) (linking reduces table size as it dosn't store the element with the table).
Revisions to Save/Load file Editor (separate program).
Enhancements to Sound/Image Managers.
Memory Leak Fixes (several).
New rendering splash screen. Displays Table Name and Author from Table information aswell as screen shot.
Changes to Sound sub-system and several bug fixes.
Animated Bumpers. (animates with metal ring when ball hits bumper).
Wire Triggers (rotatable), Colour of Triggers.
Animated Triggers (drop when ball rolls over them).
Custom configuration (colours/fonts) for script editor. (there is still another supprise in the script editor )
Light/Bumper Lense Support via bitmap textures (alphamaps).
Changes to Rendering of Em Reel (should fix graphic artifact on right edge some people had).
Textures on Gates (wire gates ), and some other minor changes to the gates.
Internal Timer Support System (usless for you, wicked for us).
Lots of minor changes to the program and tweaks here and there (again thanks to Stein for constant pestering ).
Can stop balls sinking on kickers.
New Object: Drop/Raise Ramps (I can here somebody screaming fire from here).
Number accelerators for recent file list (press alt F1 to re-load last table etc..).
Light Sequencer can now handle walls (for drop wall GI effects).
Fixed a rendering problem with the lights (if it had no boarder).
Support for Ogg Vorbis, Mod and XM (tracker type modules) and Midi music files.
Music Sequencer.. Support for 4 separate music channels.. fade in and out music.. cross fade between tunes and other effects. Each channel is totally independent.
Play (stream) music directly from librarys (sorry not the main .vpt just yet)
